What is the .DCDL File Extension?
.DCDL File Extension Description:
The DCDL file format is specifically known as the Design Constraints Description Language. The DCDL is a standard for the preliminary access and inter-tool substitution of constraints. The DCDL describes a standard rule for defining complete semantics and constraints. A specific syntax is chosen to maintain embedded DCDL constraints within the TCL typescript and within the System Level Design Language.
The DCDL addresses various domain constraints such as clocking, timing, power, area, test, operating and environment conditions, signal integrity, logic architecture, cost, physical implementation, reliability, and manufacturability. The DCDL format specifies the next generation of flows and provides crucial designs in describing various constraints and design optimization. The DCDL format is vital in IP wrapping for system chip development, where it runs as a neutral-vendor format for confining internal constraints through firm and soft virtual elements.
The DCDL format is employed by IP providers for describing their objectives for implemented IP components and for defining their boundaries. The Design Constraints Description Language is used to complete the execution of IP components through the IP integrators. They include two important ways in the operation of DCDL: the writing of application command scripts where an embedded DCDL statement declares the constraints within the design; and the production of constraint folders through a pure DCDL to illustrate the constraints via independent application forms.
In ASIC Design Flow, the preliminary constraint access is done as inserted DCDL commands in a control script combination. The interpreted constraints are written through a DCDL file, which is read by the analysis tools. The preliminary constraints in an FPGA Flow is prepared using a pure DCDL and converted into specific tool commands.
The DCDL format presents constraints interoperability through the entire design flow within the post route analysis in the FPGA and ASIC implementations.Author: Design Constraints Working Group

Do you have errors with .DCDL files?
The General Cause of .DCDL files Errors:
A common and likely explanation for .DCDL files errors is corruption in the Windows program registry - fixing is required to avoid more damage in other software and/or hardware devices. During the time the errors continue your system stays capable of potential blue screen errors, system failure and fatal crashes.
What are the Symptoms of .DCDL files Errors?
Common symptoms with .DCDL files errors include reduced personal computer performance, excessive software start up times, failure saving documents, long breaks in software functions, applications shuts down without displaying an error message, input halts and software crash.
