What is the .LCH File Extension?
.LCH File Extension Description:
The LCH file extension is used in saving printing jobs for the Launch! application by PagePath Technologies. This software suite for file transfer used by printing industries saves files in the LCH file extension, so that print shops will be able to receive job files from clients via the Internet, using the FTP Protocol, or modem to modem through a private network.
Files in the .lch file extension are transferred from a computer to another network, using the commonly used File Transfer protocol in the exchange of files on any network that is TCP/IP based, to enable manipulation of files in another computer in the network, regardless of the operating system it is using, granted if the computer gives permission for FTP access. The process takes jobs saved in the LCH file extension from a customer's computer desktop, to have the output printed on publishing systems such as OCE, Xerox, Konica, or Indigo digital color printers, as well as color copiers.
The Launch! Software suite was created to assist companies' in-house print shops in their forms management, to track jobs in the process of production, and in the integration of production data with legacy billing and accounting systems.
Files in the .lch file extension are easily turned into PDF files when received from customers by printing and publishing shops. This solves problems encountered like delayed file receipt, getting sent to the wrong address, files arriving without instructions, or its coming out in Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Another application that uses the LCH file extension is IBM works for OS/2. The file extension LCH is used for charts that are made on the application. IBM works is an Office Suite and the LCH file extension is used in charts in its word processing, database, PIM, and spreadsheet applications. IBM Works was specifically created for OS/2, an operating system developed initially by IBM and Microsoft, and then later on, exclusively developed by IBM. Standard support for OS/2 by IBM was discontinued in 2006, and is now currently marketed by Serenity Systems under the eComStation brand name. OS/2 is similar to Microsoft Windows in a number of ways, but it also has similarities with XENIX and UNIX.Author: PagePath technologies, IBM Corporation
