What is the .SLV File Extension?
.SLV File Extension Description:
The GPH-S application enables a GPS user to transform their ellipsoidal heights "h", to ITRF/WGS84 or NAD83 (CSRS) to orthometric heights "H", by employing at every location the geoid height "N", which is derived from the geoid model or height transformation. The term "heights" is referred to as the sea level. The SLV format in GPS-H consists of two files: one file has the .slv file extension, while the other file has the .bin file extension.
The .slv file extension in written in ASCII, and has the data that are associated to the data grid, like the grid boundaries and grid spacing. While the .bin file extension is made up of binary, and is considered the data. In the .slv file extension, each row are saved starting from the west to the east .and the data in the .bin file extension are stored in each row beginning from the north; the data stored are in the form of short integers.
A number called scale factor, which is saved in the .slv file extension, is used to divide the integer to become a float integer and to obtain this, the user must perform this operation. If the file has undefined values, these undefined values are represented as the value 32767. To compute for the size of the file, users can count the number of rows then multiply it with the number of columns and multiply by 2.
The application DBsolve 5.00 is used for mathematical simulation, and for cellular metabolism and regulation analysis. The DBsolve is programmed using C++ and it has been integrated with a language that is used to store and build models. It also comes with a compiler that is used to process the models and execute simulations. A model can be derived and transferred to other computer systems in a form of a text file written in ASCII, having the .slv file extension.
The .slv file extension also contains required information regarding the model. The model in .slv file extension is composed of the following parameter values that are experimental, schema of the system, processes/reactions and components information together, with external database records links. The .slv file extension has a platform-independent and object-oriented structure.
