What is the .SVW File Extension?
.SVW File Extension Description:
SpecView is a general-purpose spectrum analysis and measurement tool that has the ability to simulate and fit the spectrum of any molecular system. It can compute the precise frequency point of lines in the experimental spectrum; replicate the range of the molecule for a specified set of Hamiltonian constants and model parameter. It can also build the assignments for the experimental line, and it can execute a fitting process to obtain the molecular constants that best explain the experimental spectrum.
SpecView saves all the assignments and simulations into one binary file that has the file extension SVW. This file can write assignments into an ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) which can be opened and read the next time you work on your analysis.
The simulation part of files with the .svw file extension contain general information about the model used for the simulations such as the name of the model, notes, and information about existing molecular parameters and constants.
The assignment part records the quantum quantity label for every assigned transition, their computed frequencies that are meant for the existing set of so-called molecular parameters and constants, the actual frequencies of the equivalent tentative spectral line profile and the residual differences among calculated and assigned frequencies. The user to completely replicate the simulation and assignment if entered manually in the SpecView program can use all these information.
Both parts of files with the .svw file extension can be exported in two ways: Export simulation and Export assignment. The Export simulation option permits the export of the current stick plot or the export of the convoluted spectrum, where as, the Export assignment option allows the export of the data and text information of the model, its parameters, and constants, assigned lines as well as the results of the last fit in the file.
The assigned lines contained in the file with the .svw file extension cannot be updated during the fast creation of the spectrum and can be lost the next time the spectrum is recomputed in the normal mode part of the assignment. So as to prevent the total modification of molecular constants during update, the file with the .svw file extension is always saved if any assignments exist.Author: SpecView Corporation

Do you have errors with .SVW files?
The Reason for .SVW files Errors:
.SVW files errors are potential severe Windows file system errors and can be brought on due to a faulty registry entry that should be repaired immediately to avoid additional failure in other applications and/or hardware. As long as the errors continue your personal computer stays at risk for potential blue screen errors, device failure and fatal crashes.
.SVW files Errors - Common Symptoms:
Typical symptoms from .SVW files errors include slower personal computer performance, long program start up times, failure saving documents, extended pauses in program procedures, applications shuts down without showing an error, input halts and programs crash.
