What is the .TRU File Extension?
.TRU File Extension Description:
BASIC (Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) is one of the first programming languages that are considered high-level. High-level programming languages contain commands that are often in simple English; can be used to create processes for several operating systems, easy to use and written with plain characters instead of employing their own symbols. The very first version of the BASIC programming language was developed at Dartmouth College by then students John George Kennedy and Thomas Eugene Kurtz. It was later renamed Dartmouth BASIC to differentiate it from the language's numerous variations and dialects. The program was later used as the programming language to create tasks and processes for a number of early computers such as the Commodore VIC-20. During that time, only people who knew programming languages used computers. These languages were the primary mode of creating tasks for computers. BASIC afforded more people to know how to use a computer with its easy to use commands.
True BASIC is a direct deviation from the Dartmouth BASIC programming language. Kennedy and Kurtz as an improvement from dialects Dartmouth BASIC 7 and QBasic developed it. This version of BASIC came with a software development system, which came with support for a 640x480 pixel screen for editing software as well as 16-color support. True BASIC also came with graphic primitives such as flood, plots and plot areas.
Source code files use the file extension TRU. Source code files are actually text written in the structure and pattern dictated by the programming language. The structure and commands in the text allow software development systems to recognize the source code with the file extension .tru as a True Basic source code. Files with the .tru file extension contain commands, processes and objects that are used in the creation of actual programs. These files can then be compiled, assembled, translated, linked or debugged by other software development tools.
Files with the .tru file extension can be linked together to form libraries, DLLs (Dynamic Library Links) or executable files. Source code files can also be checked for errors and faults in the programming script by debuggers. These are considered building blocks for the creation of functional programs.Author: John G.
