What is the .TUD File Extension?
.TUD File Extension Description:
Files saved in the TUD file extension are used to store image data. It is used by a program called ThumbsPlus. Using ThumbsPlus to manage the TUD file extension, users can view files graphically, locate files, and organize files. ThumbsPlus can manage hundreds of file formats. When dealing with large amounts of TUD files, ThumbsPlus has an algorithm to simplify the process of sorting and finding image files (pictures, graphics, some fonts, and animations).
A wide variety of options for the image files are also available (adding descriptions, comments, keywords for easier searches, etc.). The data stored on TUD file extensions can be viewed in a thumbnail or slide show. From the thumbnail, TUD files can also be edited, cropped, viewed by other image programs, and organized in different ways.
Because of how ThumbsPlus organizes and creates the TUD file extension, much like a database, a very important and convenient feature is made available. This is the ability to search for files with advanced parameters (e.g. users can search for files based on the image's properties).
Files in the .tud file extension can also be printed individually or by the bulk, like a catalog. Several conversion options of images within the TUD file extension are available as well. When converting, the possibility to do it on by one or by batch is also made available. Image editing is also available in batch mode. When storing files with meta file graphics, there is also an option to rasterize. Files with the .tud file extension can also be used with OLE (Object Link Embedding) to generate the thumbnails. Features that allow users editing and improving image quality, adding filtering options, have also been enabled.
Here are some examples of files that the TUD file extension can handle:

There is also an ongoing development to support digital camera plug-ins. Embedded color profiles within the images can also be read from the .tud file extension.Author: Cerious Software Incorporated
